Profhilo 1 x 2 ml Skin Laxity main characteristics

Profhilo is a stabilized hyaluronic acid (HA) based product intended for the skin remodeling and for treating the skin laxity, not just for filling lines and wrinkles.

Profhilo is to be used in areas affected by skin softness such as the malar and the submalar facial areas, where it will work best. It nourishes the dermal cells and restores the firmness of the skin, as well as improves tissue quality significantly, even in challenging areas, and is complementary to other aesthetic treatments and dermal filler procedures.

As a stable product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.

You may find Profhilo a regular filler or biorevitaliser but is not – it has opened up a new injectable category – bioremodeling clinic gel.

Composition of Profhilo:

The formula of Profhilo has the following concentrations:

• High molecular weight cross-linked hyaluronic acid (32 mg)
• Low molecular weight cross-linked hyaluronic acid (32 mg)
• Sodium chloride
• Sodium phosphate

Profhilo is intended to use when patient would suffer ageing effects and wrinkle appearence mainly on facial areas. However, arms and neck can also be treated.

There are many characteristics that make Profhilo unique from anything else available on the market right now. There is no BDDE content. It is thermally cross-linked generating stable hybrid co-operative complexes of H-HA and L-HA. Despite its high HA content, it has a low inflammatory profile coupled with pro-healing properties backed by clinical studies.

Recommended method of use:

Most of the times it is recommended to conduct an initial cycle consisting of 2 treatments performed with an interval of 30 days. In the future, if necessary, maintenance treatment is carried out every 2 months on the facial wrinkle or set of wrinkles.

However, it is recommended to develop an individual treatment plan with Profhilo depending on the severity of the patient’s age characteristics, so results may vary or last differently

As a rule, for the entire procedure, one syringe is enough for one zone, but this  may vary. Injections are made at 10 points on the facial area – 5 on on side and 5 on the other.

This dermal filler gel can be applied to different areas but the doctor will decide how, when to repeat the treatment and the after care.

Of course, injection sites are not chosen randomly. Firstly, they must be anatomically safe, and secondly, targeted depending on the patient’s needs. Injections can not be done at those points where there are exits of nerves, large blood vessels and lymph nodes. Otherwise, there is a risk of blocking blood flow or damage the nerve endings.
